Who is responsible?
LAYEROPS LTD is responsible for personal information used to provide the LayerOps Websites service. Our company number is 17151973 and our registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. Contact Jack at [email protected] with privacy questions or requests.
When you visit this website
This website does not use advertising pixels, analytics scripts or cookies set by us. It does not contain an embedded contact or payment form. Email links open your own email application.
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may process technical information such as your IP address, requested page, browser information and request time to deliver and protect the website. We use this information where necessary for our legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable website. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its handling of personal information.
When you contact us or become a customer
We use your name, business contact details, messages, project materials and relevant billing information to respond to your enquiry, prepare a proposal, deliver agreed work and maintain our records. Please only send information needed for your enquiry or project.
Where you are entering into a contract with us personally, we use information as necessary to take steps at your request or perform that contract. When you act for a business, we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and managing the business relationship. We also retain information where needed to meet legal obligations, such as accounting requirements.
Business introductions
We may use a business name, website, publicly listed business contact information and notes about its website to assess whether our website services are relevant. Sources may include the business’s own website and Companies House. Where these details identify a person, we rely on our legitimate interests in relevant, proportionate business introductions, subject to applicable direct-marketing rules.
You can object to marketing at any time by replying to a message or emailing [email protected]. We will stop marketing to you. We keep a minimal suppression record so that you are not contacted again by mistake. We do not use tracking pixels in outreach emails.
Who receives information?
Information may be handled by providers needed to run our service: Cloudflare for website hosting, Addy and Microsoft for email delivery, and Stripe where a customer receives an invoice or opts into paid services. Payment-card details are entered with Stripe, not on this website. We may also share information with professional advisers or authorities where necessary or legally required. We do not sell personal information.
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where international-transfer rules apply, appropriate safeguards are required, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual protections. You can contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your information.
How long is it kept?
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including dealing with enquiries, delivering projects, resolving disputes and meeting record-keeping duties. We review prospect and enquiry information and remove information that is no longer needed. Financial records and minimal marketing-suppression records may need to be retained longer.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You have an absolute right to object to the use of your personal information for direct marketing. If processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it.
To exercise a right, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data-protection regulator.
Other websites and changes
Our project links lead to other websites, which have their own privacy information. We may update this notice when our service or processing changes; the date above identifies the latest version.
